Residential and commercial properties, situated within the limits of Corporation are assessed for tax. Property Tax is tax on immovable or tangible real property such as land, buildings and permanent improvements. Based on such assessments, all assesses are expected to pay the Property Tax. This department deals with assessment of various taxes under the Batala Municipal Corporation and also responsible for collection of advertisement taxes. Presently, GIS survey is conducting in the city for mapping the property of the city for efficient tax collection. |
